Where to start... OK, what's the best way to meausre an exhaust's tuned length? Specifically, how should one go about measuring the length on a curved section? Also, when someone talks about a bend radius with regard to a pipe, does the radius refer to the distance to the middle of the pipe or the outside or inside wall? -Saro |

All the books say that when determining pipe lengths, the measurement of interest is through the middle of the pipe. I use a flexible machinist's ruler and bend it around the corner, on the side of the corner. Not the inside or outside edge. Calculations and measurements are nice, they can get you in the ballpark, but eventually it always comes down to cut and try. |

Aaron, Speaking of books on exhaust design, do you have any recommendations? Thanks! Brad |
