Strada, I'm surprised it does have a "Strada" shield on that thing. Should have mocked it up with one!!!! |

Footpegs need to be in a more relaxed position though. Should come standard with with XP type lamps though (just fog beams not blue and red ). Plus an ECM switch so the engine can run on anything from E85, Premium, Regular, or 10% ethanol, or whatever is available. (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on October 21, 2008) |

I think a switch on the ECM can cover various states of tunes like they do on a few other bikes that are available from other manufacturers. One bike I've read about has an ECM switch that lets you pick either Sport or Tour. |

I want that so bad it hurts. Wonder how close we could come to it by mixing and matching parts from the Buell parts catalog? |

does it come in the faster color black? I still just can't go for the slower color "road grader orange". |

The problem with that design is those pods cut into where you need to put the AUX lights because the stockers suck, esp out in the remote off grid areas. That and with the 'rotax' 146hp on dirt is scary...tempting, but scary. |

it is not exactly hideous in profile, but those scoops from the front... u g l y and not in a good way. Also, if Buell stops making air-cooled Ulys I will stop buying them. |

Why wouldn't anyone want The Ultimate Uly to be water-cooled? Air-cooled may be just a tad more reliable and be nostalgic to the die-hard, but water-cooled seems a much better option for overall durability; it's so much easier on the motor and gives much longer engine life, runs quieter, generally passes less heat on the thighs and seems intuitively to be a more adaptable and common sense platform to build a bike on, especially with the technology that is out there. Thoughts? |

No water cooled. I would hate to leave green puddles in the woods, every time I crash. When I crash now, i just leave air. |

I rode a CR this past weekend. When Buell comes out with a 1125XT I will have to up grade. That engine is a beast. |

Hmmm, I'd be satisfied with my Uly as the 'Ultimate' if only it didn't roast my right thigh and if ANY of the dealer's that serviced it during the last 3 years had been able to fix the fuel management issues! |

pffffffft..Ultimate Ulysses...yeah right. I hope this is just some photoshop gossip that never comes to pass. The Uly doesn't need another 50 horsepower, liquid cooling and a considerable reduction in fuel range. What about the things an adventure bike like the Uly does need? Better wheel bearings. Better headlights. A real front fender to protect the headlights. Fueling issues sorted out. Wheel sizes that would allow the use of adventure worthy tires. An increase in fuel range. Better wind protection for extended rides. It would seem to me that it would be better to resolve existing known issues on the Uly, before increasing the power and complexity of the same platform. I do like the RSS though! |

More fuel range, fix known issues is all I would really want in another uly. They should add heat barrier to the inside of frame, heat is bearable but that would improve it sooo much why leave it for us to do. Fuel pre-heater. An optional set of 18/21" rims would be nice. |

I do like the RSS though! WELL.....I like the teflon tape that keeps the coolant in! You can only use AMSOIL with then new Uly. If you put anything else in it, the stator will die and the wheel bearings will explode causing the belt to break...... |
