I'll be headed back home to Cali soon and dont want to chance it with the D&D. I might be able to loop hole around the CA laws and register the XB in another state but that will be a pain in the ass when my 9 years in the Air Fore is finished and I'm working civilian LEO. This is a feeler of sorts I guess. Let make it clear that I love the D&D! I'm in Turkey right now and even with the lawlessness that is rampant on the streets here..... 250 scooters with NO MUFFLERS, old school Russian cars with OPEN HEADERS.... the D&D still stands out. It really does sing a sweeet song. I'm really looking to trade for a Drummer, though I will consider anything but a Jardine (been there, done that). The D&D has about 10K miles on it. As far as I can see it has no dents or dings. There is a little rust around the chin fairing mounts, but I spray it with WD40 on a regular basis. Other than that, its good to go. As mentioned, I am stationed in Turkey so the transfer process will take some time. The USPS is the only way I can receive a package and it usually takes about 8 days to the east coast. Anybody interested? |

The DMV could care less about the muffler, least in my case. (I had straight pipes on my VTX when the DMV inspected it.) The smog (or 50st. spec) will not apply if the bike has 7500 miles or more, or was registered to you in another state, that you were a legal resident of. |

Sound. I dont want to be that hypocritical Cop pulling into the station for work with my muffler blaring 100+ decibels. Its hasnt been a problem in Germany, North Dakota or Texas but I was ticketed twice on my 9R with a Jardine in Sac.... the D&D is louder. |

Well, I definitely dont want to go back to stock! If I knew Drummer wasnt having trouble with turn around times I might consider stock+cash. |

If your bike has less than 7k it can only be a California Model and there still is NO inspection sort of looking at the VIN numbers to make sure its the bike you say it is... But if you must get rid of the Pipes I'll be glad to switch them for my stock pipes.... LOL I can try.... right?? |
