Whats the last 4 numbers of your Vin? They *tend* to go in sequence of what number yours was built. |

The last four numbers are random, but never repeated in any given model year. . |

The last four numbers are random, but never repeated in any given model year. Not so random. Mine (when I had it) was #87 of the first 100 built. I got a Uly windscreen/plaque (that I still have) with 87/100 on it signed by Erik. They gave those out to purchasers of the first 100 Ulys. Last 4 of the vin. was 0787. There is a old thread somewhere where we all posted the number. There is a similar thread active right now in the 1125 section. |

Yes there was an old thread that I started: How many Ulys?http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/371388.html But we never got a definite answer from a direct source. And as far as the bikes that came with the plaque signed by Erik, I thought that was for the first 100 sold, not necessarily the first 100 off the assembly line?!?! My bike was factory owned prior to my recent purchase, so it had no chance of being the first 100 sold. However the last 4 of the vin is 0002. I guess I'll always wonder??

It could just be a coincidence that my plaque is 87/100 and the last 4 or the vin. was 0787. Maybe I was too quick to say 87 of first 100 built. I was told that when I bought it, but don't know that it is a fact. I don't have the bike in front of me these days since it was totaled, but I'm fairly sure my prod. date was June 2005. It didn't arrive at the dealer until Sept. 2005. As for the order of the numbers, usually they are in some kind of order no matter what they start with so they can be tracked in case of a recall. |

I don't have the bike in front of me these days since it was totaled Ouch, sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you kept the signed plaque, though. Yes? |
