Posted some pics of the Uly over on AdvRider...for some reason posting multiple pics here is a pain.

Pics do not do the paint job justice...the BUELL and Pegasus were all hand done and look like brushed stainless steel. All the cases were done in a black/green metallic powder coat that match the center of the wheels and the rims are done in a psycho lime two coat powder coat.

I ghosted in some family tattoos in the tank that do not show up well in pictures .

That looks awesome. Did you paint it yourself or have someone else do it for you? I'd love to have a bike that looks that nice. Unfortunately, I rarely wash mine, so it would just look ugly within a few weeks anyway...

I think it's fantastic (the Hulk/NY Jets/Green Goblin rims aren't for me, but to each his own).

I think this kind of customization is good for Buell. I complain to anyone who will listen that Buell - if they want to increase sales - needs to try to cut into those sportbike guys ("squids"?) who paint their bikes like it's nobody's business (because chrome really ain't an option). Granted, sportbikes usually have lots of plastic and fiberglass to paint, versus a cruiser or a Buell, which don't, but in that scene, originality and "bling" is everything. Yeah, they want their Hayabusa to go 220mph, but it'll never see that speed unless they take it to a drag strip. What Erik and Co. ought to do is get a totally original Buell, paint it up like crazy, add some lights (bear with me folks), and show it off.

If Buell could get into dealerships that sell the other sportbikes, they might make a killing.

Or I could be totally naive. Wouldn't be the first time.

Thanks guys....it was a fun project that started out as an effort to remove all the champagne colored pieces. The black/green works well and I could not resist the lime green on the rims. The lime is over a base coat of silver and it looks really cool.

VERY nice. Buell had some nice greens back in the tuber days...they should try that again, superstition be damned : )

That Sucks!
Reminds me of the green on my buddies
BMW Rockster.
Everyone would stand around his bike
oohing an aahing, saying how cool it looked!
I hate lime green

The Jet Hot is amazing to me. After a ride you can hold your hand literally mm's away and feel no radiant heat. Yet you shoot it with a temp gauge and the front header pipe near the head immediately after turning off the engine reads about 300.

The fan exhaust duct I made out of Thermotec continues to work very well and as eliminated under seat heat. I have yet to see any ill effects of the duct arrangement as it shoots out a strong blast down and back towards the oil tank. Riding yesterday in 100 degree heat and the fan ran less time than without the duct if memory serves. Added benefit is the Thermotec muffles the fan whine.

Thanks for the compliments! It is fun to come home after work and see it in the garage and want to jump on and go for a ride.

There's an easy fix for that - ride to work!
