Jim - I after striping my second of three bolts that hold the inspection cover, I helicoiled the remaining hole. I guess I am too hamfisted for steel bolts in aluminum. U-man - Though for a short time we were a BRAG group, we have always been a Badweb riding group. No fan fair, we just get together when we can and ride. The only time we gather as a must is when one of us is in need. We are very informal but getting to be quite tight knit for such a spread out group. |

Patty, My condolences for your loss. Uman, You never know when or where you will run into a fellow C3 member. I left New Bern early this afternoon headed for Old Maple Hill Road as I had never taken my XT down OMHR before. Just as I finally make it on to OMHR I meet an X1. Taking note of the Matt Ware and Big Jim stickers on the flyscreen (Spidey's sticker was WAY TOO SMALL) I realize that it's Oldog. Since he noticed my brake lights light up he waited for me to turn around and get back to where he was waiting for me. We proceeded to the Fish Camp to allow the squids (and any law enforcement they might attract) to vacate OMHR. After a late lunch for me we went up OMHR twice and back down it once. Then it was time for us to part ways. I believe everything was fine when I left OMHR, but by the time I stopped at Food Lion in New Bern for some last minute groceries for the week I noticed that my leftover shrimp and fries had evacuated their styrofoam container and were strewn about all over the inside of my XT's top case. If they were fine leaving OMHR, then it could have been my antics on Pole Pocosin Road or Brices Creek Road that caused the spillage inside my top case... 1313 |

Damn Jim, when you go to a benefit ride, you really go don't you?!!!!! 1313-I have an opurtunity to pick up a very prestine MC within the Buell community. Really a deal that is hard to pass up. Unless of course some of you want to lend out some money that I can repay as I sell off the 9/12S!!! |

I've been to that one before, which is why I picked it. I was in MN about 2 weeks after I started riding and happened to hit that weekend. I didn't have the bike with me at the time. Now will be different. MN is beautiful in the summer. I'm looking forward to going back. |

I believe the grass will need cutting that weekend Jim. When are you leaving? I will probably take off that Friday to get the chores done then spend the weekend in the mountains. |

M2 - I am probably leaving on the Wed prior and staying in Asheville with mom (of course I haven't actually told her that yet.) Then Thursday I'll start out in earnest. I'm sure my mom would love to see you again if you want to ride up with me. |

Does anyone have a line on Buell rentals in the Charlotte, NC area? One of our best "friends" from the Buell factory is in the area this week and I am trying to run down a rental so he can ride for a day or two. Any suggestions, drop me a note Thanks! |

Ray Price has rentals in Raleigh, which is 130 miles from Charlotte. Hopefully we can find them something closer. G2 - you reading this? |

hey u4euh and m2nc, i just had a chance to read your post on my pics, as for the m.16 its a 5.56 mm gas opperated air cooled and fully automatic in 3 round bursts, its kinda fun to shoot but the m.240 bravo is much more fun , 800 rounds per minute , 7.62 mm and fully auto , ill try to get yall a few weapon pics, and maybe a few vehicle pics as well , how ever this site is dedicated to bikes so i wont get carried away ...and as for other bikes being submissive,,,, i'm a really easy goin guy and i would never pack that much heat on my scooter, let alone attempt to be overbearing or threatining to anyone , well maybe a terrorist but hey its all part of the job right?, anyway before i post any pics of weapon systems , m2nc, jnance and ulywife , let me know if its ok, if so, ill put them in the same place as my uly pics so its not in the room , just let me know, any other kind of pics from iraq you guys request i think i can pull off but anyway yall just let me know , awwww man , not another novel, say it aint so , what can i say i get bored over here and really enjoy yalls company , now if only we can pull off a bon fire , cold beer and a good ride.....till later , ulyman |

Ulyman - Post away. My comment on the picture threat was tongue and cheek. It was just a funny combination of pics. As for weapon systems, just make sure what ever you post is okay with your employer, hint, hint. I have no problem with weapon pics, but its not worth you getting in trouble over. I know some collectors so I have a pic of me holding a .50-Cal Sniper Rifle. That joker was heavy and several feet taller than me. |
