Ive recently installed a micron exhaust, k&n filter, asb open airbox kit, and a new map designed for those parts from American Sport Bike. ive done the tps reset, afv reset, and the bike is running rough, im looking for some assistance any advice is welcome, the bike runs rough and kinda jerky under 3k rpm's and still rough at a consistent speed and starts coughing and then the engine light comes on? and if anyone is in the virginia beach/ norfolk area and would like to give assistance that would be much appreciated! thanks benjamin |

I would start with double checking your TPS reset. I had to do mine 2-3 times last time to get it right. |

ive done that a few times. i will try that again this weekend. also when is the correct time to do the afv reset? after the tps reset with the engine still running? or after the tps reset and shut the engine back off? thanks benjamin |

I had the same problem, minus the CEL, and finally tracked it down to a bad front spark plug wire. The way it was routed, it had rubbed against another cable, and had just broken thru the insulation. I swear I had looked at the same exact spot several times, but never saw the spot where it had rubbed through. Might be worth a close inspection. |

i changed the head temp sensor, the spark plug wires to the magnecor wires, i redid the tps and afv. and it still runs rough, i recently purchased the vdsts cable so i can run diagnostics, and sometimes the bike fails for the cooling fan, can the cooling fan cause the bike to run bad? or am i just not getting the tps reset completely in? also on the afv reset do i need to let the bike completely cool back down after doing the tps reset or go straight into the afv and then take it to 5th gear at 3500rpms? any help would be much appreciated! if anyone is in the virginia beach, virginia area and could possibly assist me it would be much appreciated! thanks |

i have the vdsts cable and software from technoresearch. if your in the virginia area , we could hook it up to your bike and actually perform tests on everything instead of just read those blink codes. |
