Hopefully they will spend this year straightening out the issues with the 08's, but we all know better. |

This has been the quietest Homecoming ever. Is there any news, or anything interesting to come from there this year? --Sean |

only thing i could find out is that there will be something new with the xb line. they had all of the xb stuff behind the building when we went thru the factory tour. they said that we weren't aloud to see any of it. so they where running 1125r's down the line. it could mean new colors or something else. i don't really know. i guess we will just have to wait a little while longer. |

Interesting... Cityxslicker mentioned on another thread that the XB12s was not on the list of bikes to order for first quarter... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?32777/373648 (Message edited by teddagreek on July 06, 2008) |

Well, the 1125r which is built from the rider down was shown to the most avid buell riders at homecoming. What ever this new bike is must be built from the dealer down, which i find rather amusing since 95% of the buell dealers suck. |

yeah, but they havent come out and said that they arent continuing it.... at least not on any company memo that I get access too. Hell I bet the gang at homecoming have more info than I do way out on the Left Coast. But when we got to order for 09, last month, it was NOT on the list of available. Dont ask about the 12R I dont remember, and we didnt order any anyways. The 1125R has affectively, locally replaced that bike. |

I think it would be better if they did hold their announcements at each year's Homecoming. Announce to dealers and the gathered public at the same time. The most ardent owners and dealers would view the product in person while all others could view pictures and info online. It could help foster a better sense of community between dealers and owners. Everyone wins. |

Sometimes I think they forget who buys the bikes and helps sell them too -- the people who love the bikes! The salesmen close the deal but we help get them in the door, but it's hard to do when many of them treat us Buellers like lepers. Then again this could just be those rough growing years that we will all look back on fondly, as the beginning of the Rotax era when Buell MC fully comes into it's own. I still want my damn XB5 though! |

Funny point, 1928, it was probably a high water mark year for h-d. Prohibition ended and it was just before the market fell. Ah good times, the roaring 20s. Loud Pipes Scare Horses! New twin cam motors, front brakes (!) and new styling with dramatic colors. I would love to have one of those Single thumper 25th anniversary P-shooters Maybe they were looked at like the Blast of their time. And the Rolling Stones played at the gathering on Juneau Ave. (Those guys have been around forever) |

09s are announced at the dealer show in LV, I think 2 weeks or so? I'm still on "vacation" so I don't have access to stuff like that at the moment...and they're not taking me anyway (grrrr....) so its not like I have plane tickets to look at. Someone grab me a swag-bag? |

They should have had homecoming and the dealer show at the same time. The riders gathered at homecoming care a lot more than the crappy dealers who really don't care about the brand. LET US SEE THE BOLD NEW GRAPHICS!!!!! |
