who has used the backpack? I am thinking about getting one. the hard saddlebags are way too big for me. the Buell bags for my blast were just the right size for the stuff i carry. i figure the backpack would be about the same. my main question is, if it is folded with the rack forward does the bag impede the rider's seat?

I have one I used once - don't think you can fold the tail forward with the pack on it (someone will correct me if I am wrong). I PM'd you in case you are looking for a like new one.

I have used mine in the vertical position with the back pack sitting on the pillion seat, with a pillion and the pack resting on my rear rack and horizontal with the triple tail folded forwards, It's fine!!!

I have one and like it a good bit. Big, lots of pockets...I can pack for a weekend in it. It is very useful soft luggage. Not waterproof, but it comes with a cover.

I use it vertical w/ the bag on the passenger seat. If it is in the back (behind Trip tail) it will rest on the tail light and probably scratch the heck out of it.

I have the Buell pack and a large Ventura pack that both fit over the triple tail. I like the Buell pack better. Worked very well for me. I carried my laptop, sleeping bag, and other miscellanious items in it on a week long trip. It does not interfere with rider seating.

I have the Buell low seat on my Uly and with the backpack on and triple tail folded forward I can just barely feel it touching my jacket when I slide all the way to the back of the seat (it has an edge where it rises up for the passenger pillion). It doesn't interfere with anything and it isn't uncomfortable - just something that I noticed the first couple times I slid all the way back on the seat.

Only issue I have with mine is mounting and dismounting. Seems like my hip joints are just not as nimble as they were many years ago. Other than that I like mine alot. I was not able to get mine to mount with the triple tail flipped forward, I guess my hands are just as nimble either. Still, no regrets on the purchase. I hope to get ride of the tail trunk, it is convenient but I just think it looks akward or out of place.

I am using the Twisted Throttle - Givi tail rack with a "T - Bags" "Stow-A-Way" pack mounted onto the back side of the Triple Tail.

I collapse the T-Bag Stow-a-way when it is not in use. I then fold the Triple Tail forward. Getting a leg up and over is not a problem when the bag is collapsed.

I got the backpack today. it fits perfectly laid flat behind me. it is a pain to get the tail to latch into place when laid down, but once you get it, it is perfect.

I've been using a really nice bag strapped to the tail. It's made by Kriega, and I bought it from Aerostitch. The size is perfect for the tail, big enough to actually be useful, and it's waterproof.

mine is on almost all the time, it's fantastic! plenty of space, actually bigger than I thought when I first got it. I've never used the backpack straps, as the bag has never been off the bike!

I like mine as well, but it is the getting on and off that can be a problem. I was thinking of going with a tank bag for daily riding, but I don't like the looks of tank bags. I have found myself leaving the side cases on and thus ready to pick up anything as there is plenty of room.
