Anyone planning on riding on the 5th? My wife and son are out of town, and the mouse wants to play. I'm thinking about going to mt. st. helens, or doing the glenwood loop I listed in "ride routes" a while back. Hopefully traffic isn't too bad for the holiday weekend. Maybe we could meet up at Latus for an early start. I'm also open to riding any other day this weekend. Gene Lewis |

Id like to go up to Detroit out of Estacada along the Clackamas River. We could meet at Latus. What do you think? I am just getting over carpel Tunnel surgery (3rd week) so I may be a bit slow until I know how my hand is going to do. |

I'm kinda committed to going to mt st helens on saturday now, with a few other friends. If you want to meet, let me know, otherwise I may not go to Latus, seeing as how, unfortunately, it seems like our whole group is sidelined right now. Plan is to leave a little later, like 10, for the 4th of July hangover types. |

Was that an invitation to join for the ST Helen's ride? I think my wife would not mind if I did both, Saturday and Sunday. Just don't wait up for me if my hand wont keep going lol |

Sure it was. I am just not sure about timing, who is coming, etc. I'll be talking to the guys tomorrow (they're not buellers) & I'll keep you posted. We'll stick with a tentative departure of 10:00, perhaps from mall 205 area? Anyone else wanna go? Pipe up so we can plan a meeting point. Gene Lewis |

Anyone else wants to join up, feel free to call, the Buells will be outnumbered on this one, with 2 Buells, a Yamaha, 2 Hondas, a Kawasaki, maybe an Aprilia, or as we like to say, corn, rice, and pasta. |

I don't wear a real rain suit just have the protection of my regular riding pants and jacket. However I have attached a link that describe several variations of rain suits. http://www.calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/RainSuits.htm l |

Well, the ride went well, it only rained a little. Roads were fairly nice, some frost heaved areas, tiny bit of gravel. we had lunch at the Cougar cafe, right across from the gas station in Cougar, food was excellent. No other Buells rode, there was a Ninja, 2 CBRs, an FZ1, and some little kawi 500cc thing from the 80s. As far as raingear, I use these: TourMaster Caliber pants along with the Flex II jacket. http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/product.php?produc tid=173&cat=4 They're the Gore-Tex type, and I like them a lot, even though the first 2 pairs I had leaked. they come with a 1 year warranty, and were replaced at no cost promptly with no questions asked. I got mine from Portland Motorcycle, but Latus has started to carry Tourmaster, so try there. |

Second to our sponsor, try newenough.com Good prices, good selection. I wear First gear rain stuff and love it. Good protection and very H2O proof! |
