Anyone mount one on a Uly? I just picked up a sigma BC 5006. I have put them on other bikes i have owned and would be great on the Ulysses so can have a clock and odometer ( plus a very accurate speedo) without having to scroll through the multi function one on the Buell. I usually just mount the sending unit on the fork tube and put a rare earth magnet on the rim or brake caliper. Well the Uly has upside down forks so you can not put a sensor there and no real place to put the magnet. I was just checking it out quickly before going to work and wasn't able to come up with a way to mount it. So has anyone figured it out? |

if you go back into the archives of joesbuell xb conversion project, he put his on the rear wheel for his set up that he did. very professional for a guy over in the land of oz with limited immediate resources. |

I got a Veypor VR2 on my bike, I need to take some better photos, but I got the sensor line running down the swing arm under the hugger, going to right below the axel on the brake rotor side. I have the magnet mounted on the brake rotor right between the screws and the axel. Here is a pic of my old setup, i ended up moving it, this was my prototype

Good ideas. My cable is not long enough for the back wheel and I never had any luck in splicing the tiny wires. I think I figured out a way to mount it up front. I can put the magnet on the rotor behind the button and mount the pick up behind the fork guard and run the line up the brake line. |

Good luck with your setup. Here is a few more of mine to give you ideas, incase you can't get the front to work.
