Nuts, You know, one night, all these rejected bikes are going to turn on you in a dream and scare the living sh*t out of you. Or your going to meet one of them coming the other way in a blind curve and it's going to be revenge time. Better start looking over your shoulder.will be looking for ya. Jackie, Glad your heritage put you on safe ground and strange you would say that about Tank, cause I was thinking the same thing. Now Nuts on the other hand, with that long tall frame and desire for gaudy red boots and mountain rifles, could have an ancestry in West Virginia hill country. |

Yep, very distantly, but I don't remember which side is related. Guess I'll just have to argue with myself about it. Any dates get thrown out there yet?? |

A little bit of day one with Uly #2. I stopped by my favorite breakfast spot; The Kingery Brothers, and got a BLT&Egg. Took it up onto my spot on the BRP and enjoyed the cool morning. Rode douth of Floyd and caught a catnap for about twenty minutes before heading for home. The low fuel light came on after 115 miles so I filled 'er up. Hopefully we'll see 150 miles before reserve once its broken in. I moderated the speed up to 4k rpm most of the way and I'll drop the oil next week. Happy to be back in Buell-land. NUTS

I'm thinking "NuBlu" but nothing is solid yet. I sold the Versys to my brother yesterday morning and decided to buy with my gut feeling. The greatest ownership experience of my life has been attributed to Buell and I really feel like I owe them another chance. The Uly just feels like home; I think Erik and the Elves used my evil twin as the ergonomic model for the 12X. NUTS |

Nuts has finally got a bike that he can call "Babe"....The other woman. "Lady with the Blue Dress on" "Blue when I'm away" "Bad Seamstress Blues" (oh wait, that goes in another thread) I gotta stop, like Ferris. Congrats again on the new mistress! |

Thanks Charlie and congrats on the fine perfomances. Me, Nuts and a fella named Howard decided to ride UP the Jeep trail which in hindsight probably wasn't particularly smart . Tank, you are in for a treat when we hit this trail. By the way, The rocks in the 3rd picture in front of and behind me and Howard IS the trail. Getting started. Looked innocent enough. Nuts screws the pooch. Me and Howard. Wondering how I got myself into this. Nuts pointing out the only other way off the mountain . The view is insane from the top.

Bike is clean and relatively damage free. Took an awful big hit on the right side, I know, it's laying on the left side...I bailed it on the right and because it was tits over tires I fought to get it upright and was too pooped to hold it up so dumped it back over on the left. Double whammy! Somebody else dumped his bike too, though evidence isn't immediately available, but in the works. NUTS |

Nuts, I think the Jeep trail pics scared the Tankster. I bet he had visions of bent oil cooler guards and scratched plastics so he is currently in hiding. Don't worry Tank. We are patient especially knowing we will eventually bait you into giving it a try. Build your confidence up by starting on some smooth trails and then drop the bomb on you when your feeling cocky and confident. The pictures I take that day will become the stuff of legend . |

Jaxon, are we riding or hunting today? Fishin, maybe? Call me crazy for wanting to enjoy the good weather. I rode Hucklberry to the farm and back yesterday, 326 miles. The Uly has a tendency to creep up to 65 on the bRP without its pilot being aware. It must be the soul of the Buell! We had a little foray in the mud, it turned out to be a good indicator of how much lean I had on the way home. Stopped on the way home and had a small buck rise from its bedding to say hello, 30 feet away. Unfortunately I was getting 41 mpg the one tank I calculated. The heated grips were necessary three seperate times and they worked stellarly. New tires for Suzi-Q today and we'll be ready to assault the trails. What'd y'all do? NUTS |

Unfortunately I was getting 41 mpg the one tank I calculated. It is rumored that Buell has a reflash for the 08 ECMs that adds about 5 mpg. Still trying to get details on that. |

Nuts, Thats a negative from me. Cindy has to work this evening and since Arielle is in Canada I have no one to watch Kali. After the mom incident I ain't gonna ask her to do it for more than an hour or two at a time or I'll have to hear a sermon when I get home. Got the ole' "I'm tired of being dumped on" just two days ago. |

Well, bailin' is one thing... I'm still trying to live down the "show and bike dies" thing. Some of them rocks look a little on the large side. Good thing I put that big sprocket on the back. Rock Crawlin' on two wheels is looking like fun! |

Oh, make no mistake Tank it isn't fun. Its like work and once you are committed then there is no going back because its just as bad either way. If I was you I would be filled with dread instead excitement |
