Howdy...looking for tank bag recommendations, ideally with a map window. Do any collapse to stay compact for short rides? Steady rain in the DC area this evening...thinking about riding in Rolling Thunder this year... |

I've got the Buell non-deluxe (same bag, no side pockets). After I sprayed it with tent waterproofing from WallyWorld...no issues. Good view of the gauges, but I do have to unclip it from the front to get a gas nozzle to the tank. Small price to pay, very happy with it overall. |

Corteck is the only way to go. not a ton of room but looks great and you don't have to move it to fill up. It fits the air box cover great.

Sweet photo, 12bolt - that almost sells it. What's the story behind the photo? I found myself in a freak snowstorm headed up into the Kancamagus in New Hampshire on a rented H-D Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Yeah, I was listening to NPR and Pink Floyd on the speakers as I rolled through the snow, but I had to turn around for the sake of my life!

If you use the Buell Deluxe bag, consider the Powerlet electrification kit. Fits nice into the rubber button on the front of the bag. On the inside I have 2 cigarette lighter jacks.

I have the Buell deluxe tank bag. It is about twice the price and half the quality of a Cortech, Nelson Rigg or similar. The pro is that it fits the bike better then a bag that was not made for Buells. |

Forgive a dumb question, but where are you guys buying these Buell tank bags? Who has them? I do a little dance of joy when I find a Buell t-shirt in XL! FYI, DC Buellers: Old Glory HD/Buell in Laurel, MD has all kinds of Buell t-shirts, hats, leather jackets, a couple helmets, camelbaks, and old-skool-Buell farkles) - I almost bought one of everything just because! Battley Cycles has nothing with "Buell" on it except the bikes themselves. |

Forgive a dumb question, but where are you guys buying these Buell tank bags? Who has them? I do a little dance of joy when I find a Buell t-shirt in XL! I found mine at my local dealership (Central Texas Harley/Buell). It was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but it does fit the bike perfectly as somebody mentioned. They recently converted their old store over to a Buell store with used HDs in the store as well. I walked in for the first time since they made the move and it was very odd seeing a whole host of Buell logo'd gear. I ended up buying a mechanic's shirt and mentioned that it I hadn't ever seen that much Buell merchandise in one location. The sales person told me they had all that stuff before, it was just in the back, because they didn't have room for it before. Of course it's all relative. They still have 10x the amount of HD gear in the store as Buell gear. Wayne |

I have, and really like, an RKA bag http://www.rka-luggage.com/A02%20Tankbags/163%20Bu ild%20sheet/163%20Build%20Sheet.html I had the deluxe Buell bag but found it hard to see the map with the angle. |

Not sure if its a super mini or not. I did have to replace the front strap with straps with eyelets for the screws on the front airbox cover. This bag looks and fits better than the Buell bag. It is a lot smaller though! The pic is from a couple weeks ago on the back side of Mt. St. Helens here in WA. Freek snow storm dumped almost 6 inches before we could get down below the snow line! |

I bought a Buell deluxe tankbag from Oxford HD here in UK. It's a nice piece of kit that fits my Uly perfectly, (as it should!), it cost a little more than I wanted to pay, but then it came as part of a deal with a Buell Tailpack/Rucksack that attaches to the triple tail and that is good quality too. |

I think I heard that Wolfman makes the bags for Buell. Can anyone confirm that? |
