I received Fuell in them mail yesterday and read it from cover to cover. There's a nice article on the 25 year history, the garage, and archive pics. The 25 years of Buell book is mentioned. I think Court should feel slighted because: honorable mention of Dave Gess --- no mention of Court??? Did you upset somebody at Buell recently?

Don't they consider it a good week if you don't upset anyone? |

No one likes to be slighted, especially when you don't believe there's a reason for it............. |

what happened? Sometimes an unjust "price is paid" when you are a passionate advocate. It might just be that, in his tireless efforts over the years to make our Buell ownership a better experience, he has upset some people. This is my baseless guess, by the way. I would also go so far as to guess that the folks at BMC are not the ones he might have upset. It was clear to me from reading the Fuell article that omitting Court was not a slip of the mind, but a deliberate act. It is sad when advocates for positive change, for a better product and improvements to the overall ownership experience get cut out from the credit when credit is due. Well Court, since the editors of Fuell did not seem to see fit to credit you for you efforts, please accept my thanks for your tireless effort over the years in making Buell a better product and the ownership experience more exciting! They also spelled the Ulysses' hard luggage manufacturer's name "Hepco-Becko". The folks who produce fuell likely just fell victim to an oversight. Court has been featured in fuell before, not long ago even. |

No payback involved; the editors had nothing to do with it, the credit line under the story is my fault, I should have added Court as co-author of the book. He was not involved in the story in the magazine however. I wrote that as well as that part of the book. I am actually a little surprised the book got a mention, I asked for it but the powers that be sometimes are reluctant to mention things that they don't get a cut of. Besides my goal in life is to ellipse Mr. Canfield's fame, those folks as Columbia might become impress by him and that could get dangerous ;) ;) (Message edited by davegess on April 15, 2008) |

Dave, My apologies to you and to anybody else for letting the "black helicopter" syndrome get the best of me. Thanks for clearing this up. Asbjorn |

Did anyone catch that Lafeyette was in that issue as well! Small world of Buelling still... |
