Ahoy Buellers, Here is another long distance question. Who's crazy enough for 2500 miles on a city x ? Maybe me? Ive owned a lot of bikes over the years and the buell is by far the most comfortable, not to mention my favorite! I'm planning a trip to Cleveland over the summer and riding isint out of the question. With the buell saddle bags and a small backpack who thinks this is a good idea? Rich |

I'm doing a trip out to the East coast of Canada this summer on my XB9S. Should be fairly close in mileage to your trip. I installed heated grips, the select seat and a zero gravity taller windscreen. I can't think of a better way to travel. GO FOR IT!!!! |

Keep us East Coast Buellers in mind IF you are heading in and around Halifax Nova Scotia Canada... |

Sounds like a great idea Rich! I've done similar trips mileage-wise with just the buell soft saddlebags and a tank bag on an xb9s. Actually, come to think of it, I also bungeed a gym bag above the saddlebags and across the passenger seat as if it were the "trunk bag" from the set... makes a nice back rest! Don't sweat the 2500mi trip. It's a lot easier and more comfy than you'd think. Just dont forget your earplugs, and take at least 20oz of water at every gas stop, and 1 ibuprofen and 1 aspirin at every other gas stop. |

I have done 1500+ mile on mine. As long as you don't push the daily mileage above 400 you should be fine. Do too much in one day, and you will pay dearly the next. Find a way to secure the backpack off your back. You do not want any extra weight on your body. It takes a toll on your knees, and "rear" |

Badlionsfan, First week of july. Once i rode 800 miles in one shot on a Kawi Z1000.... sucked. Bad seat angle and high pegs. CityX feels much better so i think ill do alright. |

...take at least 20oz of water at every gas stop I would recommend a CamelBack. You can drink on the go with a helmet on, and you don't get sick from chugging a quart of Gatorade at every fuel stop. |

I'm riding my firebolt from Chicago to Logan Utah. It's doable and I'm 40 years old. I'm sure I will feel it but, I'm just not at road King age yet or I don't feel that old. |
