My wife's booty gets a bit ore after about 100 miles... of riding. Are the Airhawk things effective and what size have you used on your Uly? Any other suggestions? Thanks once again, Tom Oh, BTW, here is my ride as of our trip to the oregon coast this weekend! /Users/Shelstad/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Originals/2008/Feb 18, 2008/IMG_0057.JPG |

I've owned an Airhawk for the last five years. I'd highly recommend it for long trips. It will add an inch or so to the riders/passengers seat level. High quality, pricey, but worth it. Your wife will thank you. Remember, if she's not happy, you're not happy. |

Bein: what size for the driver/passenger? I looked on their site, but they don't list a size for the Uly. Thanks for the input! Tom |

I went with the large size. It's a good fit. Bob PS: Google "Bien Hoa" |

I have the rectangular one. It is 10" X 14". Good quality product, easily adjustable by more or less air(less is better). Fits well on the front or back of the Uly seat, good heat insulator too. I use it after my butt gets sore on the Uly, that seems to be about 500+ miles. The wife likes to use it within fifty miles or so. Saddle time is important to gain more saddle time. Myself and my passengers have had to progress into higher mile riders. Started them at fifty miles a couple of times then on to a hundred a few times then on to one fifty and so on. I have one daughter who has done a two fifty day. The wife has worked her way up to two hundred on her Blast. I rode several three hundred plus days before doing five hundred in a day. I have done several seven hundred + days and love it. |

Another strong endorsement for AirHawks. My wife and I use them during multi-day rides on our Beemers. Indispensible when that butt cramp diverts your attention from safe riding. During a 1k mile Iron Butt, the AirHawk was worth it's weight in gold. The extra seat height relieves some tension in the knees and hips, though it also changes your wind exposure. I'll have the AirHawk ready during a 2k/48hr Iron Butt later this year. Get the size that best matches your bike seat surface. |

www.derbycycles.com has the air hawk seat pads plus another one that looks even better than the air hawk for the cheapest prices I have seen for the air hawk pads and most are around 125.00. |

I've never used an airhawk but have an Alaskan Leather pad. Can't go wrong with a good sheepskin. Wool is a very good insulator and makes a good padding. But that may just be my inner sheep farmer talking. |
