If this question has been beat to death, I apologize. I am planning a trip to Alaska and want to switch to some aggressive tires when I get there to go to the Artic Circle. I have read of people running a 160 wide tire on the rear. I would like to know if anyone knows what manufacturer makes off road tires that will fit the ULY. Thanks in advance. |

Pirelli MT-60s hook nice on the snow and really give a nice chunky muddy rooster tail. Not bad for street. Definitely a more dirt oriented tire. |

Thanks! I like the look of both. I think the Pirelli MT-60s are in my near future. |

Cityx, What kind of mileage are you getting outta the MT-60's? And for anyone with the Distanzias, same question. |

Distanzia life is far greater than the MT-60 life. The MT-60's are extremely soft compound and I've heard your lucky to get 2500 out of the rear. I never tried the rear, but I ran the front and it had 1000 miles on it was already wearing quickly when I got rid of the bike. |

Still on the first set, the snow and work schedule has kept me from running them more off road like I want. 1000 miles on them so far. They definitely favor the dirt over the pavement though. |
