Qualifiers like "I feel as if the bike..." indicate some level of thoughtfullness and humility and that makes a world of difference to how I personally perceive negative and/or critical commentary. Yet such goes unnoticed in my posts. Worse still, I'm singled out so I have no place to go. And frankly, Rocketman this is especially for you, I'm sick and tired and fed up with folks who inevitably turn the discussion to one of insult, ad hominem and personal derision. Why the •••• is it impossible for you to disagree without sinking to personal insult? Yes I know, I expect an indignant reply demanding to know where you committed any such offense. Therein lies the root of the problem. Take a closer look at these threads. I'm the one who's level headed about the 1125's performance. That's not an insult to the machine or the man behind it simply because I don't see it anywhere near comparable to a 1098, RC8, GSXR1000 or R1. I passed three 911's on the M62 today. I was piloting a Saab Aero. Does this mean the Saab is able to go faster than a 911, or is it even comparable? Did I mention I was in a hurry but the Porsche guys were not. It's all about perception, and I've been around motorcycles nearly as many years as Mr Buell, so my perception is just as valid as his, yours or anyone else's. If not more so come to it, given mine are totally unbiased. Rocket |

Rocketman is a joke. This is a guy that built the most grotesque V-8 chopper thing in yellow and called it a sportbike, and thinks Saabs and TVR's are gorgeous. If Rocketman thinks the 1125R is ugly, then that's high praise. Man, would it be ugly if he designed it!!! What a dumb thing to say. It's a good job you're not an engineer otherwise you'd look stupid making such statements. Saab's are arguably the best engineered mass produced cars on the planet. Interesting how GM have tapped into Saabs wealth of knowledge, which GM are administering much of into damn near every car they build these days. As for TVR's, there is an education in how to build world beaters. And no they are not gorgeous. They aren't tarts cars. They are stunning. Stunning because they stun. Rocket |

The one saving grace is that this is the greatest number of times the words "I assume" . . "I think" . . "in my opinion" and "I notice" . . "I stated" and many other sorts of qualifying non-qualifiers have appeared. Haven't you got more important things to write, like finishing the Buell suck up book? Rocket |

Now listen up there Sean. Suck up book????? A man, Erik Buell, has created from scratch a brand, developed a dream and made a unique offering to the world. Court has taken it upon himself to document that journey of 25 years of victories, defeats, uphill battles and victories again. You call that a suck up book? To each his own, but to me that is disrespectful of efforts expended to chronicle an unique event in motorcycling history. I believe it would behoove you to respect another man's accomplishments even it those accomplishments are not in a direction you would approve of. Likewise, theres Court that on his own dime (I would assume) is chronicling these accomplishments. No respect for that? Hmmm.. That is strange and bordering on distasteful Sincerely, Asbjorn |

Ease up Asbjorn. He's just miffed that it might compete with his Saab/TVR suck up book. |

Court, why do you imagine I'd want to plunge you or Erik into financial ruin? Where you're concerned it would be more fitting to expose you for the two faced, where BadWeB's concerned, person you are. One could only hope such a trait is at the very least confined to here, though I doubt it having met you. Rocket |
