This is in Eastern Thailand near the Cambodian border! I was sitting on the Uly while Nat was taking a pic of some rubber plantation workers and she caught me having a "what the" moment!

Great pic! Looks like you're having some nice weather. What windscreen is that you're using? |

It's a http://www.ceebaileys.com/buell/ulyssesws2.html ceebaileys 16" that I busted when sideswiping a minivan in Laos, I got a couple of broken ribs, the Uly's got bent handlebars, scratched bags and the screen damage, one tough bike! I've ordered a new screen which has just arrived in Oz! |

Thanks! Did you get the 16" again? I was thinking of trying the 14" (5'10" with 31" inseam) but I like the height yours shows in the picture. Hope I never experience a confrontation with a minivan! Glad you're still here to tell about it. |

I had a Cee Bailey's +14 and I hated it. I'm 6' with a 32" inseam. The screen was 2" too tall. The buffetting was the worst I have ever encountered (well...second worst to a Vstrom I spent time on). I proceeded to sell the screen instead of cut it down. Just some info for you Gatlinburger.... |

Brat, Looks like one hell of a trip! Are you still in Thailand? How's the Uly running in the heat and Humidity? Kevin |

I've bought a new 16", I'm 6' and can't fault it at legal speeds, yep, does get a bit noisy as speed builds but I'm happy to keep a lid on it as I have a stuffed disc in my neck and I love being able to ride all day without discomfort. The pic is as we headed back into Thailand heading toward Bangkok from Cambodia. We got it on a boat and the Uly just arrived back in Oz! I'm hoping Nat does a full trip report soon with pics, Malaysia/Thailand/Laos/Cambodia/Thailand!
Here's one of us loading the Uly on the front of a ferry to go down the Mekong in Northern Laos! |

I'm 6' 4" and figure to buy the tallest one, with the Euro lip, but for winter riding only. I like the Buell taller (4") w/screen for normal touring in reasonable warm weather. ~jammer |

This is in the mountains near the Thai/Malaysia border when we came upon a hill tribe moving camp, they were a bit frightened of the noise!

PS a couple more pics, this is a river crossing in southern Cambodia. There were 4 rivers that had to be crossed in similar manner, they are building bridges that will be finished in the next year or so!
Line up with the ramp!
Nearly on!
Underway!
Safely over! |
