and so it went, as beers were clinked and the Buelling Man was toasted (literally).
i wish i could say i partied into the night. actually, i DID, but not very much so.
it wasn't long before i was asleep/passed out (your call) in a camp chair, basking in the afterglow of the fire, looking for all the world like i was dead.
well, i wasn't QUITE there, but you could hardly tell by outward appearances.
another epic day was in the books, all hands (and fingers and toes) were present and accounted for, and Madduck's Ulysses was STILL intact (no mean feat, considering i took it hill-climbing on a dare earlier this evening...)
mondo thanks to everyone who helped make this day special, especially Joanne Lighton for being JUST dementish enough to take the Buelling Man concept and successfully running with it.
i'm not sure, in the harsh retrospect of reality, that the bottle rockets were such a great idea, especially when the heat from the fire melted the tape and the rockets fell en masse into the fire and started firing off in EVERY FRIKKIN' DIRECTION!
come to think of it, i'm not convinced that the one that nearly drilled Tom didn't actually penetrate one of his earholes and exit out the other one! it sure would explain a lot of things...
anyway, thanks again all for a marvelous day, a marvelouser night, and memories for the millennia.
the spirit of Buelling Man, at long last, has been finally set free.
the world will be a far, far better place for it.

This is an actual unretouched photo of Ferris during the festivities. The spirit of the Ulysses was upon him. He was finally into the FBRAT groove thang. Actually, he pretty much looked like this all day long so we cut him some distance.

Tom, the pic of yours on the day that REALLY tells a story (not that the one above doesn't) is THIS one...
...with me doin' the asleep/passed out (your choice) thing in your camp chair. i was one tired Buelling Man, i'll tell ya. (if you ask me it looks like i'm ready for a toe tag...)
by gosh i was up at sunrise tho, snapping the obligatory first-light-'o-day pix of Madduck's Uly, and after a hot shower (and a handful of Tylenol) i was good as newd. |

Actually Blake....in trying to impress SOME DIGNITY on said subject we wiped the SPITTLE off with an old used pair of underwear I found blowing through the desert......REALLY BIG,GROSS UNDERWEAR.......(by the way!)
