I'd sure like to see an XB12T too. By the way, thanks for the cool t-shirt.

Merry Christmas!

Add heated grips and power outlets for heated clothing, electronics etc.

Instead of different bars, make one set that is adjustable. Tour to the mountains with the bars on "High", lower bars for fun in the twisties :)

Comfortable seat ;)

I have written letters to Buell customer Service and not a single peep out of them.
I have posted the letter in the customer Service section of this web site.

>>>I am at my Wits end and i will burn the Blast soon. I am going to roast Marshmallows over it.

Sounds suspiciously like the fellow who was going to dangle the Buell, draped with lemons, from a helicopter over a public event in San Francisco.

Best Buell publicity I can recall and some of the best (remember, bad advertising is better than no advertising) advertising I can recall.

Enjoy the marshmellows.

I'll read your letter, but the comments here, without fact, pretty much ensure customer service will shit can it. They solve problems, not attitudes.

"They solve problems, not attitudes. "

Comments about various "biker" types not withstanding, a common signage at numerous gathering points and watering holes reads:
"Leave your attitude at the door"

Slam 'em when you got to, but not if you expect any help.

Sorry i didn't think that i was slamming customer service or anything else. I didn't think to post the letter here since i already posted it elsewhere. Now if you read the letter i have been very nice about it and have not slagged buell at any point in time in my life. I still buy from Buell, I still tell people to shop there. So sorry if i am getting frustrated about what is going on with my particular blast.

I actually found some humor in your post above, frustrated humor, but humor just the same.

Regardless, hopefully you will get a satisfactory resolution soon. And to say that a bike is your only transportation where you live is saying a lot.

Hang in there, things will hopefully improve very soon for you.

Eventually that frustration will fester and you will become less and less pleasant to have here.

Drop me a note and let's make sure you are "connected" as we say in The Bronx.

Mr Buell, and company: Best greetings from Alaska. We have had some real nice early season riding weather, i now have the XB12 thoroughly broken-in. I just wanted to thank you for the great motorcycle. I am planning some road trips, and look forward to wearing down a bunch of tires this summer. thanks again. (Also I hope you are healing well) Regards, Dean.

Hey Erik!
I'm happy to announce that someone listened. Buell canada has received the letter that the Dealership sent on my behalf last week and is taking good care of me now. What i am receiving is Customer Service and that is why i bought a Buell. Thanks for making sure that your people who work for the company really do support the product and care about the customers.
Right now the bike will be going in next week and i'll keep everyone updated.

~ see everyone it did help to post up. Even though others thought it was a bad idea.

TOPIC ALARM

This thread, titled "Erik, are you listening" got a call for help from a customer who's letter had not arrived in the proper hands.

I made certain lines of communication (Canada has a prescribed by contract procedure with Deeley) were open.

I do not even know if Erik is aware of this but I do know of his personal commitment to providing excellent customer service.

There was a concern and a solution.

Deal done.

That's an inaccurate statement.

I could absolutely not do anything without the cooperation of good folks at Buell. We break no rules, I just pass along thing they need to know and might not have received through appropriate channels. Again, no rules get broken.

Erik Buell (IN MY PERSONAL OPINION) is as passionate about customer service as he is designing motorcycles.

Thank you for the kind words.

Court, no offense at all meant to the folks at Buell. Just letting you know that your efforts to the Buelling community in general is appreciated by more than those you are personally doing something for.

The stock XB12s run perfect, the race kit is pure junk. What gives?

TPS RESET available to the consumers! Also could use for a little more Buell safety riding gear. Leathers with armor and stunt gear.

Well, with all the XB requests, I have to pipe up with a different one. The development of the Lightnings and Firebolts is cool, and they are very tempting. However, the Blast fits me perfectly, and I like the handling, economy (aside from it's appetite for rear tires) and insurance rates. How about throwing the devoted Blast riders a couple of bones? Give us a few more horsepower, maybe the cylinder from an XB12 and a decent flowing head? There seem to be a number of folks who don't necessarily aspire to XB ownership, and I'd guess more may be interested in the Blast if it didn't have such a rep for being so underpowered. Give us some more "oomph!" please and make the Blast into a nifty little pocket rocket.

Eric
