Aw shucks, it can't top Jose being on the cover of the last issue. I got 2 E-mail's from Buell employees telling me about it plus this posting from Skeeter and I ain't even seen it yet. Damn mailman must be holding my mail for ransom again...Actually it seems to take considerably longer for news from the real world to work it's way down here... Thanks to Aydenxb9 for shooting the pics! 1313 (Message edited by 1313 on January 11, 2005) |

I haven't seen it, I get my Fuell mags 2nd hand from DaveS, but I am trying to remember over the past years the last time I eagerly checked the mail for a photo of Brankin! Hey...this *IS* a momentous occasion. B, congrats whatever it is you did. Can this photo be contrived as evidence at a later date? Court |

And to think I knew him when he was crash-testing dishwashers. I wonder if he'll remember us mere mortals? Congrats Brankin! |

Court- The only thing that it could be used for evidence of is my enthusiasm for my S2 (and all Buells), or maybe to show some people the difference a haircut makes. Seems hard to believe, but someone was actually able to take a picture while I wasn't doing something incriminating. Ayden- Dishwashers? Dishwashers? That's the older Bosch factory in New Bern. The newest Bosch factory is the Laundry plant and that is where I do my damage to dryers during the week. Just remember it this way - just like Buells - high torque motor and free flowing exhaust. There is, however, a somewhat disturbing, somewhat incriminating photo that could accompany that admission... The weekends, however, are for riding! So where are WE going to go this weekend? See, I still remembers ya! In fact, are we still on for lunch tomorrow? Southern- If you don't get your copy, I can make arrangements to get one for you. Now, if we had a Buell dealer around here like what I am used to they would have extra copies to help increase interest in Buells. The last time I was in a Buell dealer that had copies of Fuell it was at Tilley's during Running the Ridge. 1313 |

Maybe I'll swing by NRHD and talk to them, see if they have any and talk them about getting some if they don't. I'll let you know. By the way, enjoyed the ride this weekend, still laughing about the unmarked HP that came up behind us. You, Dave and Carlos were up ahead of me and I looked in my mirrors, not a soul in sight. Looked back about 2 seconds later and saw a car in the distance, thinking it might have been the HP that passed us going the other way in. I slowed to about 60 - 65 and he was coming up fast, flew by me and looked like he was trying to catch ya'll. Thank goodness he just let us all be. Again, Congrat's. |

Dishwasher, dryer, Geoffery Dahmer food processor. I knew you guys were screwing something together there that had to do with clothes or food or something. If the weather is passable, maybe Brick Kiln and areas near us? Carlos still has to change out that leaking brake light switch. Southern, I may be able to correct some of the Buell short comings in our area now; today I was hired by Shelton's H-D as a sales person. They already talked to me about starting a BRAG chapter so it looks like I'll probably be involved heavily with the Buells. |

No idea who is on the cover, as I have yet to receive my copy. I got my last issue the same day that Jose got his, so maybe tomorrow will be paydirt. The picture was taken on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I must admit that it was a little warmer than it normally is that time of year, and a good afternoon of riding took place after the pics were taken. I turned 94,000 miles on it this past Sunday during the 'Smokey and Bandit' run. True to form for me, I guess, as my response must have been deemed unfit to print when Chuck from Fuell asked me when I would trade in my S2. My response was that 'My S2 will leave my hands when they are cold and dead.' 1313 |

Oh, BTW, there's a story about the Brankins' picture. That was taken downtown in New Bern at a park. The lot where we took the photograph was filled with at least a hundred sea gulls. We pulled in and chased off the gulls but as we set up the shot the gulls were beginning to surround us and just out camera range there was a group of them ready to move in for the kill on Brankin. I was really expecting to be bombed by gull poop any second. |

The first day of riding at Running the Ridge I lost my rear brakes. Note rear reservoir hose that should be going to the (missing) plastic right angle fitting on the master cylinder. Couldn't avoid the shrapnel from the remnants of the flooding and heard a big thud. It was a solid thud so I assumed it either hit the muffler or the shock. A few applications of the brake later I noticed the pedal traveling further and further each time I used them. 421 just outside of Shady Valley was one HELLUVA sweet road. Not having any rear brakes kept me from truly enjoying riding it. Also, odds are that if you stick with me there will be plenty of opportunities to get that picture that would be so damn cool. Of course having 'mature' and 'sane' Ayden in the lead may make them all friendly escorts. You know, now that I think about it, wouldn't he make a MOST EXCELLENT BRAG director? 1313 |

You know, now that you mention it, he would make the MOST EXCELLENT BRAG director. Let's call his new boss and make him do it! |

I'll compare insanities any day! One look at my garage floor and the Neon should tell you something about me. With votes of confidence like this, I most humbly and enthusiastically accept. Now call Shelt! |

Just a thought: might not be a bad idea if those of us in the area are enthused about seeing a stronger Buell presence, do call. (919)731-2776 |
