Just got back from Wendover with the wife and found this clever little bit from my uncle: A mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known heart surgeon in his shop. The surgeon was there waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage, "Hey Doc, can I ask you a question?" The surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I get such a small salary and you get the really big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work?" The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over, and whispered to the mechanic..."Try doing it with the engine running.” Bonneville is wet right now and a bit further east the sagebrush is crossing the road in herds - lookin like sheep or cattle going across the interstate. It was funny. I was slowing to pull over and clear the brush from the car when I hit another one and it knocked everything loose, wish I'd taken a picture for yal. Just thought I'd share... -Mike P.S. The big winnings... ...$4.50 on the penny slots, and the hotel/casino tipped the waitress for us besides(!). Not much but ahead is better than behind in my book. |

9th Wedding anniversary, got a suite with big jetted tub and other niceties for under $100. If she liked jewelry she'd be easy to please, I'm grateful, but I have to drive to far away places sometimes. Still, it's cheaper than diamonds and gold. I'll put up some pictures some time. She knows and accepts my passions, and tries not to get jealous when it isn't her. Got to keep the wife happy so she'll continue to forgive me for loving my bike as well as her. -Mike |

I guess that is better than having to forgive you for loving your girlfriend more than her! |

That'd be cool. I've got several friends from when I was young that live down there. It's always nice to make new ones too. Used to get down three or four times a year, the drive is hard with a yungin so it happens less, funny since we have a time share down there now. |

a bit further east the sagebrush is crossing the road in herds - Not to get too picky here but sage brush is extremely unlikely to be crossing road at all, let alone in herds. You're probabley refering to tumble weeds, or as the cow-guys call 'em, Russian thistle. A certified noxious weed if you're interested. |

Ah, thanks. I had thought they were the same thing. Still it was very amusing, never seen anything like it. |
