I had a great weekend, was a corner marshal for the Formula USA race here in Vegas. What a blast. Paid to watch racing. What a concept. But my S1 broke a wire off or it came unplugged and completely shut down in the middle of ghetto on the way home (Las Vegas Blvd. and Lake Mead for anyone who lives around here) and I was stuck there until I temporarily fixed it and got it home. Wire was loose, pushed on it power, no push, nothing no lights, no nothing. So I wired it directly to the battery and limped home. Need directions to either a place to get a wiring diagram, or someone who might help me know where this sucker goes. It comes of the wiring cluster by the frame. I'll take a picture of it soon and post it. Maybe someone can shed some light. |

"Need directions to either a place to get a wiring diagram,...." The complete S1 manual is here on BadWeb at: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/Manuals/S1_1996-1997_Service/intro.pdf . When I had my R100 BMW, someone had taken the electrical wiring diagram, coloured each wire on the diagram to match the actual wire on the bike, and laminated it with folds so it would fit under the seat. The reverse side had a bunch of related info (fuse locations, relays, etc...). IIRC, they were being sold on Ebay for ~$15 - the guy had got laid off and was doing this in his spare time. Someone should do this for Buells.... |

Thanks for the help guys. Got it fixed tonight, it was the wire connected to the starter.
