Once again, thanks all! This has been good therapy for me, and for some of you, I hope. Peace, all! ck

The one and only dog I ever 'had', Lucy, a beagle, died sometime when I was a wee tot, maybe 2 or 3. I have a ton of pictures of her with my twin sis and me as babies. That's the only dog I really ever had, can't wait until I have a place of my own and can adopt a pet or two. Buelliedan is right in my opinion; get a dog from a shelter or the SPCA. I go and visit the local shelters on a regular basis. Lots of pups that need love can't wait to adopt a few of my own and help them to a better life. The pets I've lost that I can really 'remember', without pictures, have been cats, not comparing them to dogs in any ways, both have their individual charm. I've lost two; regardless of their independence, losing a pet of any sorts is tough. I feel for you, Captain.

I will try to post a picture of some of my dogs from over the years. Each was special in their own way.

Eindringlich Hawk (Carebear to the kids and old folks)
Always happy. Loved to get attention from everyone. Found him once in the middle of the bed at a friends house with all the kids putting clothes on him. The old folks at the nursing home loved to see him arrive. He had a special presence about him. He was at my side 24/7.

Arko vom Eindringlich

This pic is of him at 17 months of age. He was a quite dog with strong nerves. After his Schutzhund days were over I gave him to my Mother who lives alone on a large farm in Kentucky. It was a comfort to her to know that Arko had the experience and could easily stop a large man should the occasion arise. A quite but serious dog.

Riggins was 139 pounds of pure fun. He was a natural on the Schutzhund field. Safe around the general public. A most striking specimen and great friend.

Odina vom Leibersbacherhoff.

"Dina" was without a doubt the best Rottweiler bitch I have owned. She was intense, beautiful, and a great companion. On the Schutzhund field, she was like a strong male. Very strong, a little nervy but confident enough to take the fight to any threat that came her way. Her life ended too soon.

This is Hudson, Ginger and Koko. Two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and one big Beagle sleeping in back. They all like to crowd into the same kennel when ever they get tired.
