SpeedTV is showing the LeMans MotoGP race, and both WSBK races from Kyalama back-to-back tomorrow (May 17) starting at 1:00 PM EDT. Time to take the phones off the hook! Ben just took his record-tying sixth consecutive Superpole. Only fellow Texan Doug Polen has done this so far, and that was 18 years ago. Polen/Edwards/Spies... they grow some FAST bikers in Texas! Something in the water?? |

Yeah - they keep going at this rate in 10 years time they'll be as successful as the Aussies and the Italians. :-p |

Just remember the Aussies and Italians came AFTER the Roberts/Spencer/Lawson/Rainey era (all Americans). What goes around comes around. I think Ben Spies is reminding Europe just how fast the Americans can be. |
