Author Message   Oldog Posted on Saturday, April 18, 2009 - 08:24 pm:        If any one follows old school I post a lot there, 2 weeks ago I had a bolt break off in the front head, today I tore the top end down and packed the heads for their trip to florida to visit Pammy and Wes at CycleRama, for "freshining up" After removing the front jug I found it was cracked, the crack is in the iron liner and about 1/2 way up intake side the crack is parallel to the rings, the list price for the jug, piston and rings ( they are sold as a set ) was 270$ Carolina Coast Harley Davidson's owner let me have the parts for cost, I had discussed the matter with him as from my point of view, the jug is defective from manufactuer and HD should replace it reguardless of age but the piston and rings were my responcibility, the crack had been there for some time as evidenced by the wear marks Rick said that they (hd) would not due to age, any way If you are in Wilmington NC, Shalott NC, or Jacksonville NC, Rick owns these shops and I hope that you will consider them worthy of your business I do..   Paint_shaker Posted on Monday, April 20, 2009 - 08:21 pm:        Always cool to hear of the Dealer who is willing to help out!!
