Chuckles, what happened? Seems I heard Dale got the ax/shaft in an unfortunate circumstance, then different folks started running things, somewhat antagonistically towards their most $$$ lucrative clientele (BIKERS). FWIW. I've spent money there, no one hassled me- or treated me unkindly. | ||

Aint that "Gixxer Corner"? I LOVE that turn and ALL of 60 to/from Suches. I have found an UNBELIEVABLE alternate route south to GA, gonna try to gather some folks to run in en route to MBVI!! It has NOTHING to do with the Dragon, but is every bit as fun with none of the negatives. | ||

I rode across 180(Wolf Pen Gap) today and there was so much gravel that it wasn't even enjoyable  129 is pretty clean though. Another one of my favorites is 75 North of Helen. Why don't I ever hear people mentioning it though? Anyway, I'm excited to meet and ride with you all. I'll see you soon! Ryan | ||

Good recon, Christiankid- the more road condition posts we can have previous to the travel date, the better. Deals Gap has been polluted with salt lately- watch the Cherohala for that stuff too. Keep yer fiongers crossed for great weather! Whats the countdown? | ||

TWO should have a BBQ pit- can't think of a more motivated bunch to keep 24/7 eyes on the prize. Any BBQ teams/techniques that might be effective and relatively kind to the land? Digging big holes may not be necessary. | ||

Due to the abundance of pine trees in Georgia, pit fires are frowned upon by the rangers. I'm not sure if they are forbidden, but they are frowned upon. Due to this, TWO may disallow a pit fire. It would never hurt to ask though!! | ||

Anyone heard from Djkap?? no... The story about dales? Long story short... Dale had some health issues and lost the station. The station was taken over by the owners son, a well known Motorcyclist/Biker HATER. There was tension from the family that owned the station because Dale catered to Motorcyclists/Bikers is the pretty much the back story. Really sad too, Dale was just trying to make a living. | ||

Thanks for the info Glitch. Edit to my previous post.....Boycot Dales, ride to walmart buy food,gas up and cook at TWO. Wish I had some extra coin as I'd buy the place myself. | ||
