after travling through the rain last weekend to get up around the Dragon, Asheville area, I kept having a reoccuring vision of what it must have been like to see us three bikers go zooming by in the middle of torrential downpour! This is what came out: Three Steeds Riding to the Dragon! Current mood: melancholy Category: Writing and Poetry Three Steeds Through the Night Westward they roam Three together Three alone Drops of water come to splatter With each drop passing Problems no longer matter No pressures of money No stresses of work Not more than the other Are these Three Steeds worth Cagers look,grimace, and laugh Through the storm Those Three Steeds pass They could be Warm and dry Like me!!? Those Three Steeds Have a freedom That the warm and dry Cannot see. Those Three Steeds passing Are running free Yes, onward they roam Into that dreary night Still smiling though, Because tomorrow, THE DRAGON THEY FIGHT! |
