In terms of evaluating if the concept is sound, it doesn't make sense to compare the first production effort to the best of the best of highly refined systems. What th....OF COURSE IT DOES! The ZTL is a product of EVOLUTION. The ZTL has a tough time against these puppies ( CERAMIC ) i run on another of my bikes though. Ultra lightweight wheels AND rotors |

Greg, Your rims are out of the price range that you could offer from the factory on a Buell, but a ceramic rotor shouldn't be! |

What th....OF COURSE IT DOES! The ZTL is a product of EVOLUTION. Your ceramic disks prove my point. How do they compare to ceramic ZTL's? We don't know because nobody has made ceramic ZTL's. ZTL has not even begun to be refined. The possibilities have not begun to be explored. |

Just a quick quote from Dave Estok, from RA this past weekend:
quote:“I was not familiar with the clutch on the Hal’s bike, and I got a terrible start,” said Estok. “Then it took me a lap to get comfortable on the bike. Kern was faster on the long straights but I could out-brake him into the turns, so I focused on braking to close the gap.”
Now he was outbraking a dump truck BMW, but interesting nonetheless. Would have been a fairer comparison if Kern was on an R6, but it at least proves it is usable in race conditions. It says nothing about pad wear or disk life, just that it DOES work. |
