So what do you suppose the max usable street horsepower is that a 1200 Buell motor is capable of turning out, here the word usable is important, 1/4 mile's all well and good, but I'd rather do the Dragon, or run the local twistys and not lowside at every overtwist on the curves.

After dreaming and studying and planning for my own eventual engine build I'd say that a good range to shoot for would be 100-110rwhp. You can make more than that, but over that point it starts getting harder, more expensive and, personally I think, it gets harder on the motor. Take that with a grain of salt, though, cause both my bikes have only bolt-on performance mods.
