He was leaning towards a Shadow 750, but I was able to save the day at the last second and found him a good deal on a 97 sporty 1200. It's standard height and has some stupid buckhorns. On the plus side, it's got a nice seat, sissybar, rear rack, etc and it tastfully done. The added benefit is that I can carry girls on the back when they're intimidated by the Buell. The front will be lowered accordingly if I can't talk him out of leaving it at the stock height.
