>>>>A Stratocaster

Nothing says "I love you" . . like a guitar.

We had a "funny" here the last couple weeks. I was ordering a new instrument from the Gibson Custom Shop and was chastised with the "why would you need more than one?

I walked over to the case of pricey Italian La Nouvelle Bague bracelets and asked "choose the one you want to keep and I will".

Case closed.

Bark busters, wind deflectors for the bark busters, motion pro tire irons, new grips, and a set of goggles for the KLR-250. All cheap and all fairly nice stuff.

Seems Santa left my a gift that I didn't even know about....

I was in my local sport bike shop and one of the guys whom I know there tells me about a Sporty the recently took in on trade (can we see where this is going?)...

He shows me the bike, I ride the bike and later I check the prices on the bike.

The next day I ride off the lot on a 2002 883 Sporty in Pearl White with 7400 miles on the clock. Whole deal took less than 20 mins, and made my checkbook a little lighter...

Broke it in right with an overnite 400 mile round trip ride. Neat little bike and reminded me why I like Harleys!

The 98 S1W is now officially semi-retired!!

The only planned purchase of a white bike was the 2008 XB12R. The others just happened. When I was eyeing sportsters, I really wanted a black one, but I just couldn't beat the price on the one I found!!

P.S. I plan to bring both the XB12R and the S1W to MBV.

wife surprised me w/ a gift she forgot. Guitar Hero III for 360. It proves that if you know how to play guitar, Guitar Hero isn't easy at first.. lol

Addicting game...

My girlfriend and my daughter bought me a Vanson Buell jacket, the one with the perforated leather...I'm sooooo lucky, it is freaking gorgeous. The kids got Guitar Hero III; if nothing else, the whole Guitar Hero franchise is going to expose a zillion kids to the likes of Rush, Santana, Living Color, Danzig, Iggy and the Stooges, The Allman Brothers; stuff they might never get to hear otherwise. And I'll tell ya, the guitar stores that I do work for are selling a lot of entry level guitars to kids who got hooked on Guitar Hero, and now want the real thing. As my buddy who works at the local Gibson/Marshall dealership says, "Guitar Hero is going to end up being the nails in the coffin of Hip-Hop. Kids come into the store blown away by songs they learn to hear every note of, classics that are BRAND NEW to them. When they buy a real guitar, they pick it up so fast, it's scary." Then, a few months later, they have to justify the purchase of another guitar to Mom or Girlfriend or Wife. (See Court's Most Excellent Solution a few postings back!)
