Damn you guys are making me want to get back into FPS games, I wonder if COD4 for PC will connect to xbox ones. I doubt it, as my keyboard and mouse would give me an unfair advantage  | ||

Thumper / Froggy, I second Ft_Bstrd, JUST DO IT. Get the xbox360. Most of the early adopters of PC Games (i.e IT Guys)pulled hard lines between PS2 and XBOX, but when the XBOX360 came out.... well Sony has been playing catch up ever since. I was a long time player of all the FPS on the PC and it got expensive upgrading my video card every other year, not to mention my Proc just to play the latest games. I also got caught up in the whole Nivida vs. ATI thing and swapped back n forth several times. I mean one video card is almost as much if not more than the console itself. The XBOX360 Graphics are outstanding and the GAMES are breathtaking at times. Gears of War Ghost Recon 1&2 Call of Duty series Medal of Honor series Bioshock Fear Forza2 PGR 3&4 MotoGP Series These are all of the games I have played on the 360 and it supports them all with no video card preference, shadding setup or antialising correction for the disimilar drivers. I'm asking for a 360 for christmas...however I have no idea how long my wow addiction is going to last...its been getting worse with every level I gain and then the expansion coming up with the level cap at 80 plus the introduction of a hero class...grrr. If I get the 360 for christmas, I'll probably get H3, COD4, and GTA4...not to mention dead rising | ||

Dead Rising was hard to get into, but it's fun to whack zombies and throw benches at them. Great fun! I go to lunch in half an hour and I'll go to Bestbuy and see what I can buy... | ||

Watch out, at night, the zombies get more aggressive. I've got tons of zombie flicks, all of the Resident Evils, etc. Keep an eye out for a custom paint job on my XBs windscreen... You would like Bioshock if you like zombies. What's cool there is that after you kill one, you can use it's body as a projectile to be telekenetically hurled to kill other zombies. Plus the environment is creepy. | ||

Thumper, Are you saying you already have a 360 and now you have the wifi adapter for it? If yes, then follow these instructions. 1. Unwrap without cutting the adapter cable. 2. Plug adapter into recessed slots in the rear of the 360 and plug the cable into the receptical. 3. turn on 360 4. go to network settings and setup your network configs, this is the easy part if your using a non encyrpted network, cause if your using a secure connection this might take a better of 15 mintues depending on how fast you can type with two joysticks. 5. Test connection and hopefully you will already have an xbox live account, if not you stop after the network setup and go to market place and setup a new account or xboxlive.com and set one up there. so, did you get COD4? U ready to try a hand at getting your @zz handed to you by Ft_bstrd and his jolly men in green. Cause I sure would have if I had been on the opposing team. Fats is dagone GOOD! | ||

I used to play CSS (Counter Strike Source) but I'm in the same boat with Reep. Too many jobless kids playing it to be fun for the casual gamer. If I'm really on the ball I can bang out a good game, but too often I just get run over. I played through HL and HL2, both were good fun. Lately I've been trying to crave my digital speed fix as my PS2 died and I can't play Gran Turismo or Tourist Trophy. I've been playing the demo (free) version of Live For Speed (lfs.net). It's kinda like a generic GT4 (all the cars are fictional, but semi-real), but with awesome on-line play. The demo servers seemed to be plagued with crashers, but if you find the right server you can really get in some good racing. The downside is that the licensed version is 24GBP which means those of us in the U.S. have to pay ~$48. Small price for taking delivery of Buells earlier than Rocketman. Still, if you're even halfway interested in a car racing game it's well worth the download. | ||

I played a little COD4 multiplayer (XBL) for the 1st time and GOD I SUCK BAD. As stated above I've been playing single player mode to get the hang of it but that doesn't do justice to the online play. Hope to get better quick so I won't let my fellow Buellers down.    | ||

There's nothing that will push you along the learning curve like the prison shower of XBOX Live. The biggest thing is to play with folks that help you play better rather than just jumping into a group where everyone plays as individuals. There are times when our communications are not dissimilar to actual combat chatter. We had one group that accused us of being ex-military. Nope. Fat old computer goobers. | ||

I play CS:Source, Battlefield 2, Portal all on PC. For 360, I have both Forza's, PGR 3, RS6 Vegas, GRAW, COD3, and FarCry For all those who play CS:Source Come play on one of the servers I play on all the time. I'm also an Admin there : 70.87.162.54:27015 It's a GunGame/Deathmatch/Turbo 3 Levels per kill server and is non stop action. Put it this way, action is so plentiful no one even uses mics or types!! To focused in game! My name on Steam is [OCN] BrinNutz And for all those with XBox 360's add me!! BrinNutz is my name on XBox Live! BTW: Xbox has got nothing in the graphics department when compared to my PC, that's why I'd rather play PC games. I USED to be a Mechwarrior...( 2 then 4 ) Then I made it to 12th rank in free for all... actually read my stats, and realized I played more than slept.... I had to go cold turkey, online. Still..... Quake2, Halo's etc. Half Life was the "game that ate my summer" The Demo for Bioshock is good, & Orange box is on my Xmas list..... Military players.....LOL The U.S. bases in Germany come on at x time, the U.S. bases in Japan at y, The Norad types at 9pm EST...... | ||

Playing BioShock now... pretty creepy. It wears me out after a couple hours. My graphics card (Nvidia Quadro 1500) is not *quite* up to muster either... so it lacks that *snap* that I like. But no way am I dropping $200 for a good new card. I should drop the resolution now that I have been exploring for a while, but then it's like fighting with tunnelvision. That probably exhausts me even more then the creepy factor. Its a good game, but lacks the humor that I enjoyed in NOLF and Half Life. | ||

Snow... COD4 on xbox360 Brinnutz, I agree about the PC Graphics, but that was my point. I only get a year or so before I need to upgrade my card again, not so with the 360. Still the graphic are amazing as I also run 1080P on a 53" widescreen | ||
