I've decided to spend the day replacing the throttle/return cables on my Uly. At least that was the plan until I realized how hot it is outside. I got about half way done and realized the service manual is a bit vague on a couple points, so I decided to come into the cool house and post a couple of questions.

1 - Do the new cables come from Buell with any sort of lubricant on them, or do I need to lube the new cables?

2 - The cables run through some sort of gromet/clamp behind the headlight assembly. They seem to be in there fairly tightly. Can I just force the new cables through there with sufficient force, or do I need to loosen up that clamp? If I need to loosen it, how much of the headlight assembly do I need to remove to get to it? It looks like the entire assembly would come off by removing a few torx bolts, but two of them are safety torx, which makes me think I'm not supposed to be touching them.
