Anybody know where Buell gets their carbon fiber parts from? I was on American's web page and saw a chin fairing image that looks alot like the one from the Buell site. Same price too. I don't want to mix and match cf if I don't have to, but some dealers give 10% right off the top and I don't have to pay shipping.

I bought them from a seller named " dunstangraffix " The guy has treated me strait. As to the install mine are not perfect but it is hard to tell. I was instructed by a decal shop to use a spray bottle with about 4 drops of dish soap (dawn) in it. I cleaned my wheels and then sprayed the wheel. I then sprayed the decal and put the piece on ( there are 4 per wheel) I was able to move it around by keeping it wet. Once I got it where I wanted it, I lightly squeegeed the water from the vinyl. After you get the water out they are set like window tint. The kit came with spares. I am not that great at it and my turned out ok mail me at mr1spd to the yahoo.

I dont know where they get their carbon but, anything you get from American Sport Bike will be worth it. I fit the whole bike with parts from Al and some were American Sport Bike some were Buell. They matched fine. The gas tank cover was the only issue as it wasnt as shiny as the rest. I have a Buell fender and it has discolored a bit. Not on bike because of this. Its actually greenish. That being said.... I ordered also a fender for my gixxer from the guy on Fleabay. Its fit and finish was excellent. I cant seem to be able to find his link though. If I do I'll shoot it to you.

The ebay carbon is low quality stuff, it is fiberglass with a thin carbon fiber overlay. I have one of the airbox covers,
a hugger, and a left side scoop all purchased from a disillusioned badwebber. it is thick, heavy, and poorly made.

It is not worth the premium price they are asking for it.

Pay a little more and get the quality stuff from trojan, Hillbilly, or American Sport Bike. It will be good quality, and have the same
weave as their other products if you decide to add more later. Not so with ebay c-f.

My American Sport Bike parts or at least this part (no 6005) was not a very good fit I have to say unfortunately:

I had to rework it to fit correctly ....

and i cannot remember the location of American Sport Bike, but they must have had different size license plates :

now that i look at these pics again i see how no exact the lines on that license plate frame was ...

I'm sure if you would have talked to AL at American Sport Bike he would have been more than happy to make things right with you.

He and Joanne have earned a stellar reputation in customer service. They work VERY hard to keep their customers happy.

Nano-second: "the time I'd expect it to take Al to correct anything that wasn't precisely right"

The folks at American Sport Bike are top notch.
