Hi guys, would like to hear from any '99-'02 X1/S3 riders who are using the Force streetfighter/Force "big bore" pipe on their bikes. I'm running the XR2 Forcewinder, BPS race ecm and BPS slip-on i.e.'trapp. I wanted to know what to expect. Do any of you feel it is best to run a Powercommander or is the race ecm enough? Do any of you notice a difference when using the "street" baffle. I know it is a very loud pipe but was more interested in knowing the "streetability" of the pipe i.e. overall smoothness, especially below 3,000rpm. Please feel free to be as detailed as you like. (P.S. anyone using the new D&D system feel free to chime in here and tell us why your new system is best.)Thanks in advance. Frank Webb. s80drvr@earthlink.net

When I switched from my race header to the old style Force pipe I noticed a little off idle power loss. The midrange and top end seem as good, maybe a little better top end. I like loud so that makes up for any loss down low to me!

Ride to the edge!

I've got the Nallin modified force pipe on my '99 X-1 and it rocks! I use the street baffle per advice from Brian Nallin. My only complaint with the pipe is that soot from the exhaust stains the swingarm black, hard to keep clean. I also run the forcewinder XR2, Nallin stage 2 heads, Nallin 1250 big bore kit, S.E. .536 lift cams, race ECM and have the power commander installed but running a zero map for the time being and it seems to be running a bit rich. I'll let you know any advantages/disadvantages of the power commander after I get it dyno'd on the 3rd. As far as streetability mine works great but you have to keep it above 2500 to 3000 rpm range or it lugs. I try to keep the revs up anyway so I'm ready to go at any given time.
