Anyone going? Silverthorne, Colorado Aug 17th-19th http://www.buell.com/en_us/brag/adventures/2005/rockies.asp I looked around the boards and didn't see any mention of it yet. I'm relocating back home to Colorado next month and am going to do anything and everything I can to be able to attend. Anyone else?? |

I'm not going (cause I can't figure out how to cheaply get the bike there). But I went to running the ridge last year, and if its anything similar, you will have a great time. Now that I think about it, you were at running the ridge too weren't you? |

I'm considering it. It'll only be about 400-500 miles for me. Have to wait and see how much money I spend at the Homecoming in Wi. g u s |

Now that I think about it, you were at running the ridge too weren't you? Well..... ummm kinda sorta. I drove up with Glitch on Friday to get Shred, his bike and Torquer's bike. I did get to meet some of you guys in the parking lot though and everyone I met was VERY nice. Gator said he had a great time and I'm sure Riding the Rockies will be a Blast!! Just curious who was thinking of going since there's still time to plan for it. Jlnance If you want to ride a Blast I'll have an extra bike I can 'rent' ya (Message edited by along4theride on May 03, 2005) |

I'm contemplating making the trip. We're in the throws of training camp but that's an away weekend. People traffic is usually a little lighter at those times. I do miss riding the mountains I was only there for 1 summer but those were some great times. |

I drove up with Glitch on Friday to get Shred, his bike and Torquer's bike. Ah. I remember your posts about taking the bikes back and thats why I assumed you were there. If you want to ride a Blast I'll have an extra bike I can 'rent' ya Thats actually very tempting, though I doubt I can do it. Thanks for the offer. |

I have a question about these BRAG Adventures. I called and got prices for the hotel from the BRAG travel people and they are a bit higher than the hotel is offering on their website???? Also has anyone ever attended a BRAG adventure and stayed at a different hotel? Does it make any difference? There are a couple *** (3 star) hotels I found in the area that are less per night. I don't plan on spending much time in my room anyways. |

Rebecca - Not everyone stays at the BRAG hotel. I know we had people who lived close by staying at home, and riding in in the mornings. So if you want to stay somewhere else it's certainly not unheard of. The down side is that BRAG will have events planned in the evenings, and you might want to hang out with the people you meet until late. It's more convienent to do that if you're staying in the same hotel they are. |

If anyone is riding through Northern Utah they are more then welcome to stop over at my place (If I'm still in Utah come August.) Just let me know, I got a futon, a comfy couch and a nice hard floor. Josh |

Also has anyone ever attended a BRAG adventure and stayed at a different hotel? Does it make any difference? Silverthorne ain't exactly a big town. You should be fine staying at another hotel. I went to the Taos Rally last year, our host Chick Henderson of Chick's HD stayed at a different hotel then the "official hotel". The rally was REALLY cool and well planned. It is nice being within stumbling distance of your room should you get drunk and end up skinny dipping with the hotel band. I won't mention any names Cal...oops! |
