I have a 1997 S1lLightning and my rear rotor measures 4.75 mm thickness. The manual says minimum is 4.8mm so I am looking for a replacement. The EBC one is about $25 cheaper than the OEM on Ebay. $98.00 to $125 respectively. Does anyone have experience with the EBC? Are the OEM rotors worth the extra $? Does anyone have a good used one for cheap? Thanks |

Same story here, I've got the front on my 97 S1, never tried the rear. People like the front EBC rotors, but mine did manage to start warping slightly within a year. You don't notice it during normal riding, but if I squeeze the front brake hard enough I can feel it pulsing a little. I don't think that'd be a problem with the rear though, the rotors are so small and it's only a single piston caliper. I can't imagine you'd notice a $25 different between either of them. |
