Has anyone fitted Xb headlights on their S1?
Any pics or feedback on the process?

If I have missed a previous thread on this topic, let me know.

Thanks for your time.

My XB12 headlights are not as good as my X1 headlights.
I would suggest another route.

I've seen someone do it, don't remember who. The XB setup bolts onto the top and bottom triple clamps, so you'd need to drill and tap your clamps to attach them. Not sure how well they'd fit with the stock gauges so if you're gonna go that route you'll probably have to consider an aftermarket digital speedo/tachometer.

If you want to get an idea of how they'll look, I know Joesbuell had a set on his project S3/XB. If I remember right, he also had the XB front end so his would've been a direct bolt on, but it'll at least give you an idea of how the lights/flyscreen look on an S1.

If you want to take the easy route, I've seen a ton of guys with SV650s use Dominator headlights with normal fork mounts, and make their own brackets to mount the flyscreen.

Apologies in advance, I can never stop myself from commenting: the S1 is timeless and iconic. It looks best with the original headlight and flyscreen.

The XB headlights look great, no doubt, but they do so most of all on an XB frame with XB wheels and the XB tail.

i ran an XB headlight setup a long time ago. First with my stock X1 triple tree, and then with my XB converted triple tree. I really loved the look.

I had to drill 3 holes in the frame of the upper tree and tap them. Then used some 1" aluminum spacers. Also had to use a die grinder and put to small relief holes in the XB headlight modules to clear the corners of the upper tree. For the bottom triple, i had to drill and tap one hole on the top to bolt the XB headlight lower mount to.

For the Dash, i designed and 3D printed a glass filled nylon dash the same shape at the XB dash and it held my oem factory gauges.

Im debating about running an XB headlight setup on my current S1 build and another v-rod setup.

You should look into grafting a XB fuel tank on your bike. LOL.

This is where this bike really starts to work because the slimmer tail strikes a better balance with the smaller headlight unit.

The upside of using an S1 is that it already has a slimmer tail than the X1. Still, the bike Purpony posted obviously took an incredible amount of work.
