I have just received a full set of brake pads, front and back from a seller in China for $13.50 USD. I thought they'd probably be worthless paperweights but I'd take a gamble and get some to look at. I'm a bit shocked. I am extremely impressed by the quality of finish. The pad material looks very good, the metal backings are nicely finished, no sharp edges anywhere. Nothing I can see looks inferior about them. I haven't tried them yet but they look as well manufactured as any other pads I've bought before. I'll soon know if they're junk but I honestly don't think they will be. Time will tell.

Just put front pads on an 1125 from ebay seller d2moto (US stock of Chinese parts, faster shipping) finish left a bit to be desired, some rough edges on the pads, but bike stops fine in the few miles I've ridden it so far. I'm just a mildly aggressive street rider.

Nobody should buy chinese products if others are available.
With your money, you support chinese dictators and their attempt to rule the world.

I could feel the difference going from factory to Ferodo brake pads. Then it seemed like I could tell a big improvement going from Ferodo to Lyndall Gold. So maybe not the first place I would look to save money, but since I don't work the brakes much anyway, mine last a long time.
