I bought a new to me set of controls for my S1W, that came with cables. However, the cables I took off are straight and these have a 90 degree elbow. I think they will still work. The controls were listed for a 98 M2. Maybe that’s the difference? Anyone have some insight? The adjuster thread sizes are the same.

I've had some tubers with straight cables at the carb end, and I've had some with 90s at the carb end. Oughta just be a matter of routing so they don't bind or rub...

My 2000 M2 has straight, so possibly early vs late M2 ? One wouldn't expect it to be random.

I’m sure different part numbers. I’ll have to try to look it up for different years.

my M2 had the bends which were needed to clear the tack. If straight would need to be long and go across the dash and down.
