I have a chance to pickup a 1999 cyclone. It's been sitting 9 years but does start. Tires are bald and who knows what else.Just looking for ideas on what it's worth.

How many miles?
How hard was it rode ?
How much you willing to pay ?

I would start at $1500 and end at $1800.
But that's me.
I think you'll have to upgrade the isolators
and a few other goodies.

Good luck
Mark

I picked up a 97 S1 with 11000 miles for $2500 two years ago. Between isolators, brakes, tires, fork seals, replacing known problem parts in the engine, I've easily spent $500+ more on it since then, wouldn't be surprised if that number was actually closer to $1000 by now. Factor that into your buying price because these bikes will certainly cost you more than you originally planned, unless you luck out and happen to buy a bike from someone who took really good care of their bike and was thorough with with maintenance. My previous owner was not... had I shopped around better I couldve spent a lot more time riding and less time working on the bike. I love working on the bike, so that's not an issue, but finding time to do it is another story.

...or buy mine, low miles, USD forks, fresh battery, runs like a champ, full race kit...

I bought a S1W recently in similar shape from a barn. $1700 was what I paid,
I’ve put maybe another $1300-$1500 into it since then.

yes I was following your post Sbaugz, I think your s1w is a much more desired bike, I'm figuring maybe a little more than part out value. Still waiting to hear back from the owner.
