is there any possibility to get the original frame and bodywork colour via the VIN ?

Yes, send the VIN to lance at St. Paul HD, he can pull the original delivery sheet.

Also, any authorized HD dealer can check your VIN on
h-dnet. I can't remember if the info will include frame color.

Frame color was model and year specific, the only time there was a "choice" was on the 1998 S1W. If it's not an S1W, and you know the model name...you know the frame color. The only other exception to that rule being, I believe, any of the '02 models offered in Volcano Gray, which included orange frame as part of the color choice (my '01 M2 is Volcano Gray, but has a black frame - I believe the orange frame was only offered in '02?). Any other '02s would have a black frame.

well it is a 98 S1W it was called here Lightning Strike therefore the question about the frame colour

thats the bike have a look at the frame and wheel colour its not the standard grey. Anybody knows the name from the colour. I know that the bodywork came in black and is original im just curious about the frame and wheel colour

I compared the frame colour with titanium frames I have and the frame colour is different looks a bit like the frame colour on the S2T Ill make a pic for comparison
