Hello all, welli have 100,000k on my year 2000 M2 have few upgrades but have never had motor apart & I now want to go over if get more torque out of motor& have my friend rebuild gear box also I'm going to buy Axtell 88" cast iron barrels with flat tops. I have dyna adjustable ignition now & n6 cam's also have a set of n4 cam's , I like the n6 but might fit 1.75 ratio rockers as this is just going to be a maximum Torque build, I have a bobby wood CV 43.5 rebel carb on it now that will stay there just I a. Going to add volume to the manifold ,I or my motor just has the Thunderstorm heads but as I'm going 88" & flat tops I"ll weld up chamber &. Machine a swish band , will also put a 07 up oil pump bike has an S&s belt now but I think I might go chain to lower the gearing . This will be a ride everywhere street bike that will get taken to Drag strip to race,also have D&D system (love it) forgot I want to weld the ports to add velocity as this will be an all out torque build. The way I look at it is a want maximum HP to come in at 3 seconds wide open throtle I"ll have it on a DJ250i & time how quick it can make Maxium power as in a quarter mile I will go through the speed traps in 4th gear any power or TQ that takes longer than 3 seconds wide open throtle would never be used. So if I just did rpm power & torque test I would not know how long the horses took to get to that rpm so I only time it in seconds the tune that makes the most power & torque in 3 seconds is the tune I will use. I"ll also use a stock HD clutch with the grenade removed & an extra stock plate it can slip all it wants slip is good!! QuRter target will be in 10's quarter mile but I'll have to learn the bike first, I think it will be good fun!! | ||
