Yes, but they also extend the life of the rear isolators, and transfer more torque to the wheels.

Bartels HD use to offer these. They were pretty popular with the Lightning Series racers to help "tighten-up" the back end of the bike.
Every bike may react differently -- but our experiment (S1&S3) using these with the hopes of extending isolator life was out-weighed by complaints of increased vibration.
Riding an X-1 with the bushings installed a few years later - the vibration wasn't too bad. Apparently, results will vary...

Have seen some that where home made!

a piece of pipe and a ring to one side welded together.

or weld a plate on and drill the hole to one side.

I thought that the set from Foximus where home made to!?

I don't know that they could easily be "home made", but they could easily be replicated in a shop. The hole is countersunk so the inserts are held in place with the bolt. Unless the person has the proper machining tools, it would be very difficult to make with proper specs. Foximus has or had machine shop access IIRC, as does Purpony.

Foximus made these but they are machined aluminum.

I installed a set in my first S3 when it was new, the bike was unrideable due to the excessive vibration. If I find them, I will post them in the classifieds section.

I put the Bartels version of these on my S1 and used them for about 5 miles. Was on my way to a Buell meet and turned around to remove them. Vibration was worse than any Sportster I have ridden, it was worse than any shovelhead I have written, it was worse than any large bore single I have ridden (you get the idea).

Man, those bushings look bitchin and make a ton of sense! Pair those up with some of these long-wearing tires and all of our stupid Buell problems would be solved forever!

I have some on the S1. It does increase the vibes but the handling benefits outweighed the negatives for me. I don't ride the S1 long distances much but did a 6 hr each way trip a few years ago. Your vibrations may vary.

As mentioned before, I, too, have these.
The vibrations, for me, didnt increase THAT much.
Sure, I felt more vibes, but it wasnt like it shook my teeth loose or anything.

Old 5 speed sportsters pre rubber mount motor handle ok & a lot lighter than the new EFI. but go on a long ride everything will crack or come loose it's just that old harley motor works like a giant impact wrench.
i'll leave the ones there. the Stenzel bar helped.
can't notice vibration has increased with that.
