I'm sure most people know this but if you replace a head gasket on these you're supposed to do the base gasket as well.
Otherwise, you may be doing it a second time (unless you sell the bike to someone like me who has to yank it all apart to replacing the leaking base gasket).
What a pain in the butt.

Just pull the wrist pin, leave the piston in the cylinder, pull the jug, install the gasket, and reassemble. Easy-peasy.

Using a ring compressor isn't a big deal, it's just a very tedious job getting to the base gasket and then slapping it all back together.
Don't forget removing the old base gasket which is going to be welded onto either the cylinder or the crankcase.

And that's why my S2 has silver cylinders...

The base gaskets were stuck to the bottom of the cylinders, and were a bitch to get off. Asked some people in the know and was advise to dunk them in some parts cleaner. Came back after a while and the base gaskets were super easy to remove, as was half the black powdercoating on my cylinders. Turned 'em upside down and let them sit awhile and voila completely silver S2 cylinders!

Since I was Thunderstorming the engine at the time, with the black heads and silver cylinders, it ended up looking like a Thunderstorm engine as well!

Maybe next time I'll try soaking them in Gunk Carb Cleaner and see if that does the trick.
I've used the Permatex Gasket Remover which is semi-useless, this time I used abrasive pads on a right angle air grinder and then finished it off with oven cleaner and a gasket scraper.
Those things were really stubborn and, of course, the button head allen which secures the injectors to the throttle body rounded out...
It's actually a good thing the leaking got so severe that I had to get off my duff as I found the mounting tab on the Wileyco canister's elbow had broken loose.
I felt the vibration level increase but I thought it was front isolator wear. Nope!
