Hello to fellow Buell brothers, I'm looking for a "street fighter" exhaust for a '97 S-1. I have one on our '99 X-1. Thanks for the help.

uhmm probably need to be a little more specific
there are several exhaust out there but you will need to research
Force
D and D
White Brothers (Can Only)
Buell Race exhaust (Rare But out there)
Custom can from Dean Adams
There are many more what are you looking to gain and how much you willing to spend

I think the Force was called the street fighter.

He's looking for an early frame style though, the one in the classifieds is a late style. They do not interchange. You can still get them new from Force if you really want one. Better to go that route as the newer ones are 2-piece rather than 1 piece. Even still, mount a real clamp on the pipe and the front hanger rather than the POS rubber loop Force supplies. Either shaped and welded tabs or a race header shoe and band clamps, something to solid mount the collector to the hanger to take the stress off the header flanges. I broke two exhaust studs on my S2 with the Force pipe.

Brothers, Very true from Mr. Phelan about the Force pipes, will take his advice and mount the pipes more solidly. Still want the Streetfigher for my '97 S-1 though and thanks for the help from the rest of you.
