Im wanting to upgrade soon.... 96 s1 1250 kit Stg 3 XB heads Will be upgrading cams soon, whatever nrhs reccomends for my setup Open pipe might go 88" in a year or two. question is, am I good with just a 42? |

i would go with the 45, have a friend who had a 42 , then went to a 45 said big difference , thats on a TC 88. . will you use the s&s 1250 kit? |

John, Ricky already has Stage III NRHS heads and NRHS 1250 kit. Ricky, I would go with the 45, hence why I'm switching to a 45 when I do my motor build, hopefully this winter while there's snow on the ground in Colorado. |

Yes, you need a different manifold and carb adapter for the the Mik 45. Both will need the A/C adapter if you plan to use your existing unit. From what I've read of people who have had both on high-end 1250s like yours, the Mik 45 gets better mileage and responsiveness than the 42, and supports more power than the 42. |
