Going to be rebuilding my 2000 m2 and am having a hard time sourcing stuff like lifters and rocker arms will parts from a 2000 1200 cc sportster work?

They would, but also whatever would fit the Sportster would work. Even though Genuine HD parts would fit, they may not necessarily be the best ones to use. Should be easy to find, in either case.

Heck, lifters from a Ford will work, that's what I am running on my Ulysses. The 2000 M2 even had sportster cam's.
